We took a trip out to Prince George to indulge in some outdoor activities, mainly birdwatching and exploration of the beautiful parks.

We stayed at the Pomeroy Inn & Suites, which was central to all the activities we did. It also had an amazing pool, suitable for all ages.

There are so many parks to see in PG, we visited 8 parks in total around the area. A couple of our favourites were; Cottonwood Island Park for the super cool hidden tree carvings and Forests of the World for the incredible views and quiet surroundings to hear the birds in their habitat. We were even spoiled with a sighting of mama bear and her cubs! 🐻🧸🧸🧸

We also visited The Exploration Place as well as the Two Rivers Gallery. Both were amazing to experience, with both hands on exhibits and learning about Indigenous Culture. We enjoyed all the local eats around Prince George. Family favourites were Butella Burning, and Aubree’s.

If you haven’t been to Prince George before, I highly recommend as it is a great family trip to get outdoors and join the scavenger hunt that is on now until Sept 15! More details on tourism PGs website.
